Democrat hold challenged in Hawaii

Sometimes their bad news is just plain news. Hawaii Free Press includes an article of attempted Democrat-icide, with This Democrat looking to cut the throat of That Democrat. Inouye sent aid to a state senator who voted a raise for herself while Hawaii’s budget is too sparse to keep our keiki in school. The Democrat she’ll be running against in May 22 special election (to fill vacated House seat of Neil Abercrombie, who quit for a bid at governorship), Ed Case, is well liked, particularily because he isn’t currently a state legislator., so is naturally further from Obama’s White House than his Democratic competition. He looks cleaner, so Inouye wants to distance his choice, Hanabusa, from Obama.

The Republican who’ll be on the ballot, Charles D’jou won’t have the problem of pretending to be what he isn’t.
