2,000 a Week Gathered for Christian Church Services in US Capitol

US Capitol Tour with David Barton: The first edition of Holy Bible printed in English was printed and endorsed by the United States Congress. Four paintings in the Capitol were commissioned by Congress and depict America’s Christianity. For a time, the largest church was the Capitol, with 2,000 people a week gathering there for (Christian) church services. – video

US Flag Removed

He watched solemnly as Old Glory was to be lowered the last time. Other sad eyes watched with him for this American Flag was to fly no more on his base in Kandahar. The pole remains, without a flag. Gone, too are the Canadian flags. It offended the Afghani, he was told.

why not the Mosque at Ground Zero?

“Some of what people are saying in this mosque controversy is very similar to what German media was saying about Jews in the 1920s and 1930s,” Imam Abdullah Antepli, Muslim chaplain at Duke University, told the New York Times. Yes, we all recall the Jewish suicide bombers of that period, as we recall the Jewish yells for holy war, the Jewish demands for the veiling of women and the stoning of homosexuals, and the Jewish burning of newspapers that published cartoons they did not like.
