from RKUS Capitol Tour with David Barton: The first edition of Holy Bible printed in English in America was printed and endorsed by the United States Congress. Four paintings in the Capitol were commissioned by Congress and depict the Christianity that inspired our Forefathers. For a time, the largest church was the Capitol, with 2,000 people a week gathering there for (Christian) church services.
