US Flag Removed

Last month, August, our US Flag flew for the last time on the base in Kandahar, Afghanistan

Kandahar, Afghanistan

He watched solemnly as Old Glory was to be lowered the last time. Other sad eyes watched with him for this American Flag was to fly no more on his base in Kandahar. The pole remains, without a flag. Gone, too are the Canadian flags. It offended the Afghani, he was told.

As his camp’s living area changes this unused flag pole still stands, new tents placed around it. The pole was erected at night a few years ago, and the following evening American soldiers died there.

Today the pole still stands, bereft of its honor.

What’s a flag, anyway? Just a standard that troops gather around, a reminder of why they’re risking their lives. So I can see reason for the removal of the American flag where our troops are: deny an enemy, you’ll not fight him; remove a banner that unites a people in the sharing of a cause, to pretend there’s neither enemy or ally; remove what represents the values of that which binds US as a free people, to discourage and weaken US.  A good tactic to use against the enemy: divide and conquer.

Ambitious goals are achieved one small step after another, followed by bigger steps, then bigger, until the goal is reached. We were founded as one country of many cultures with one language, one source of values from benevolent religions, a people declared to be endowed with the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Our flag represents the republic of the United States of America, one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

One small step at a time, from confusion of our language to denial of the principles that guided our founding, a bigger goal is being accomplished. The removal of the Stars and Stripes is another step to diminish from US, then banish, the rights bestowed upon US by our creator as declared 250 years ago.

I for one am sick of bowing to the demands of Muslims wherever it happens. We have our servicemen and women dying for them to have better lives and it offends them our flag is over the US base. All the Muslims in the world are not worth one US serviceman’s life and we need to quit trying to help them.

This may not be related but the war in Bosnia was a farce perpetrated on the US public. We came in on the side of the Muslims when in actuality they started the conflict. Muslims were killing Christian teachers, priests, policeman and civilians. The Serbs did what was the only thing that would stop it, they told the Muslims to leave. When they didn’t the military moved in to do it and it became the conflict we know now. There were mass killings on both sides not just the Serbs.

Bosnia/Serbia war: that was Clinton’s chicken war. I found it strange at the time that Clinton would rescue a mosque for Muslims. Now, in light of current events, I have a better idea why. The Muslim agenda helps the Left agenda. And leaves US needing to burst out from being between a rock and a hard place.

Sad. United we stand. Divided we fall.
We’re supposed to be dividing our opponent, not our allies.
        thanks for stopping by.

we spill our blood for others to have a chance to be free. We spend our money To have the Afghans free from the Taliban, and we cant fly our flag on an American base. Afghans had begged and waited years and years for the Americans to come and help them, but now that we are here they dont want us to fly our flag. If we cant fly our flag while we help them, then we will pull the flag down, close our wallets and go home That’s what I would do!!!!.
