Replacing Michelle

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24th, 2009, was a short column titled “Replacing Michelle” in the National Review “The Week” column. A friend found this interesting, so here it is, word for word, as it appeared:

“Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama: The University of Chicago Medical Center hired her in 2002 to run “programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting.”

In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 – nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator. Oh, did we mention that her husband had just become a US Senator? He sure had!
Requested a $1 million earmark for the University of Chicago Medical Center, in fact.
Way to network, Michelle!

But now that Mrs. Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position  will remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000?

Let me add that Michelle’s position was a part time, 20 hour a weekjob (that’s $305/hr).
And to think they were critical of Blagoyovich’s wife for taking $100,000 in a fuzzy real estate commission!

My friend asks: How did this bit of quid pro quo corruption escape the sharp reporters that dug through Sarah Palin’s garbage and kindergarten files?

Unbelievable!

-Michelle Obama February 18,2008 speaking at UCLA

“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourself to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”

These are the most corrupt and wrong people to serve in quite some time. Their shady dealings were given a complete pass by the media. If this country is to ever rebound from this mess and the one still coming ,it will have to include and possibly start with the media. There is enough proof of corruption and illegal activity that would have prevented Barry from even making it to the US Senate. I have had personal experience with a very wrong and corrupt media and they are an enormous part of the problem this country is facing.

The media, MSM, delivers propaganda rather than news. It also hides events by focusing on some event or other, like repeating the story that Johnny was suspended from school because he defended himself, while ignoring whatever elitist senator gets a pass on not paying income tax for the past 20 years.
You’re right, there is enough evidence of corruption to bring most any citizen to account. When you have the money and power to bring a nation’s economy to its knees (i.e., Soros) a marxist for sale would be happy to sing your song and dance your jig while filling his coffers and inflating his ego to explosion so he can apologize to the world that we’ve been a successful society.
The Free Press has been largely silent.
I’ve been wondering lately if MSM is still in love with BHusseinO or if they’re writing as ordered.
The fat lady hasn’t sung yet so there is still a way out. ☺
(If MO has her way, there won’t be any fat ladies left to sing!)
