Mayor Rudolph Giuliani attempted to expose Cloward and Piven a decade ago. He provided evidence of deliberate economic sabotage. Cloward and Piven proposed a strategy to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with impossible demands, ushering society into crisis and economic collapse.
So, what’s Hawaii got more of that the rest of US?
We have VAT. It’s “Value Added Tax,” what we have in place of a sales tax. Visitors come here and drool: “Your sales tax is only 4.5%! Lucky you live Hawaii!” Little do they realize that the VAT, a.k.a. General Excise Tax, is accumulative, added to every transaction and compounded, at every level.
