why not the Mosque at Ground Zero?

“The taming and domestication of religious faith is one of the unceasing chores of civilization,” writes Christopher Hitchens in his expression of disfavor of the untrammeled “free exercise of religion”.
Muslims aren’t the first to spread offensive religious practices on Americans, in the guise of “free exercise of religion”. Just because it’s been proclaimed that Muslims intend to subjugate US to their ways is no reason to kneel before them. To be acceptable in America, religious practices are subject to our US Constitution: from Mormons to Christians who oppose the practice of medicine, from American Orthodox Jews to Roman Catholics who protect their pedophiles.
Practitioners of other religions exercise their rights as appropriate in a Nation that rejects abuse, whether arcane or modern. What other religion currently insists on spreading the atrocities, in the name of their god, in this Nation with Founding Documents penned by men whose political values were grounded in Christ of Christianity?
Can you imagine this Great Country of ours forced to its knees, or decapitated, in the name of a malevolent god, forfeiting our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights?

That was an interesting read, a lot of history people who believe Islam is a religion of peace need to know. Especially the idiots in Washington who are giving away our rights. And the fools who believe Islam is peaceful like Buddhism or Christianity.
Glad you’re back, Hepsy.
